Learning how to breathe

Hi, I'm Jessica, just another 22-year-old girl trying to
live a healthy and active lifestyle!
I aspire to be better than the person I was yesterday, last month, last year.
I started this as a weightloss blog when I was still 200+ lbs but it's been 1,5 years and while I'm still not at my "goal weight" I noticed that losing weight isn't all there is.
I recently picked up running. I like to lift, kickbox, dance and do yoga.

How I get into a chinstand. Starting at the top left to top right then bottom left to bottom right. My back was really warmed up and I took this at the end of practice, that’s why my chinstand is so arched. Make sure you are warmed up and ready if you plan on lowering your feet that far.

Before morning workout

Eat within 30 minutes of waking up so you can jump-start your metabolism. Having some oatmeal, a banana, eggs are all great choice to start your day

Before afternoon workout

Your pre-workout snack should consist of foods that are easy to digest, low-fiber and low-fat within the hour. A banana, apple slices with peanut butter

After your workout

Eat within 30 mins - 1hours after your workout so your body doesn’t start burning muscle. The key factor is fuelling your body with protein. Handful of almonds or a protein shake, fruit smoothie with skim milk, cottage cheese with fruit, greek yogurt with fruit
